THESE ARE TIMES WHEN OUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEYS ARE CAST FREE OF DOCTRINAL SHACKLES. BUT THEY MUST NEVER BE TIMES WHEN OUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEYS ARE CAST FREE OF ACCOUNTABILITY TO OTHERS. IT IS OUR SPIRITUAL AND SACRED DUTY TO GO HAND IN HAND WITH EACH OTHER, THROUGH ALL THE TRIALS OF OUR SPIRITUAL LIVES, AND TO THE SACRED AND HOLY TRIUMPH OF OUR SPIRITUAL LIVES, WHEN WE AT LAST BECOME THE ONENESS OF THE ALL. OUR SACRED DESTINY CAN NEVER BE JUST FOR OURSELVES ALONE.
These new times have seen many seekers of the spirit seeks ways that lie beyond the usual boundaries of our usual faiths. This is good and important. They seek the call within. They seek to transcend ancient ways of thinking and especially ancient dogmas and doctrines. These new seekers of the spirit can be the light to help to guide us all. But the danger is that in stepping out on their own they can embrace the idea of being only accountable to themselves alone. In that way lies the extinguishing of the very light they bring to us all.
As we emerge from our spiritual childhood, when we were in thrall to the so-called given Word of the Gods, we come into our spiritual adolescence. This is a profound moment for us, the moment in the story of humanity’s spiritual and sacred pilgrimage to the stars, the moment of mystical awakening deep in our souls and in our collective soul. It is a moment when we begin to accept responsibility for our own spiritual development, and indeed for the spiritual development of each other and of our beautiful Mother Earth, our Holy Gaia. It is the turning point, as adolescence for us as individuals always is. This is why there is such an outflowing of idealism and awareness of each other. In adolescence we cease to be in our childish connection with our Mother / Father, but somehow separate from all Other, and gradually become just ourselves, and at the same time begin to recognise our physical, emotional mental and ultimately spiritual links with everything, with the ALL.
But with our emerging spiritual adolescence, as with our own individual adolescences, there are dangers. We can become free at last of the ancient Word, free at last of the ancient dogmas and doctrines, but in that freedom, we must ensure that we do not also free ourselves from accountability. Now, perhaps even in some haste, we must reach out for our spiritual adulthood, our sacred and mystical maturity. In our freedom we must be forever bound by spiritual responsibility, spiritual accountability. Such are the great and mystical paradoxes of our pilgrimages. To be free, we must be forever bound: not to old doctrines, not to old texts, but to each other, and indeed to our Mother Earth, our Holy Gaia. We must be bound to the sacred journey, and to the mystical and holy truth that we ALL are ONE.
Let us awaken to our new non-childish being. Let us find true spiritual and sacred meaning in each other and in the ALL. Just as with ourselves as individuals, as we emerge into adolescence and then adulthood, we must return to our Mother Earth that has nurtured us, and at last embrace Her, love Her and care for Her. Just as we would our own mothers and our own fathers. Just as we always should as mature adults. There is a very joy in breaking free of the old taboos at last, but the greater joy is when we turn again and embrace and love and care for where we came from. That is the ONENESS that will mark us as truly spiritual adults at last.
In this new time,
We must take responsibility;
For ourselves.
But we must never be only accountable;
To ourselves.
